 Guns are a problem. Not just for private, law-abiding citizens, but really, truly, across the board.

I am sick and fucking tired of living in a world plagued by unnecessary gun violence.

When my son was born, I worked incredibly, incredibly hard to delay his (inevitable) exposure to gun-glory and the general violence-porn that our culture exalts. I am sad to say that I have been partially defeated: we are now a NERF household, which at the time felt like a compromise for buying time against violent video games, but I realize is just a shitty concession I made as a father.

I won't make the same concession as a maker. I hate guns, think they are more trouble than they're worth, and I am willing to say so. 

I am absolutely ashamed and appalled and heartbroken over the fate, specifically, of Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor. Two beautiful young souls who did literally NOTHING wrong but were gunned down mercilessly anyway.
